Thank You Santa The heart of the city just skipped a beat We read it in the news tonight This year will be the last, it can’t go on We hope you took it in your giant stride Queen Street just wont be the same without you, Santa The city walk at Christmas time Is gonna be a little less colourful, we’ll miss ya They say it costs too much to keep you now sorry Santa All that vintage fibreglass to paint and store is quite a lot of cash So Santa you’re retiring You're taking off your boots And hanging up the sled Santa you’re off to greener pastures Will you take the reindeer? You’re gonna miss those dears Santa you’re retiring Thank you for the years And all the big parades Santa you’re retiring Oh will you go on tour? Or just enjoy the break?
